Primal Might (Game) Showcase

Primal Might is a tiny adventure about helping your species survive the throes of nature. Your species will go extinct if you don't help them find food, and the other guys really don't like you. Can you find everlasting food and eliminate the competition?
-----
I created this game project for Wowie Jam 3.0.
The theme was "Failure is Progress" and had a secondary theme of "playing with victory conditions."
I wanted death to be important in my design -- useful and quite necessary to complete the game. Player can use corpses as advantages: food, weapons, or platforms. To respect the secondary theme, I added several "victory" conditions, some of which may require the extinction of an entire species... >.>

You can check out this project out on itch. It's browser-friendly: https://gneisskitty.itch.io/primalmight

Content Warning: There is a very real possibility for Murder and Cannibalism in this game.

This is what the species looks like that the player starts as. Very human-like. Other than the loin cloth (blender), this primitive guy was made in Unity using... primitives.

"The other guys". This is the main opposing species. Originally planned to be some elephant-hippo animal thing, it turned out quite humanoid. These guys were supposed to have 4 legs, but someone decided to delete the legs before release... (I did!)

If you are super lucky, you MIGHT see this rabbit-like guy in your playthrough. He is the last of his species -- isn't that sad?

Corpse Stage 1: Flesh Corpse. Get your meat here! (I'm a very serious person, clearly)

Corpse Stage 3: Soil Corpse. Hop on!
Amazingly textured using Unity's standard Material shader with a brown albedo. (I'm kidding about the textured part - there is no texture)
